The new Bridgeland Riverside Continuing Care Centre is scheduled to break ground this fall and is anticipating construction completion by the summer of 2020.
The building location was chosen to take advantage of the surrounding diverse uses that the heart of Bridgeland offers.
The facility will provide residential continuing and complex care along with outpatient and day program services for seniors. The existing Bridgeland Seniors Health Centre to the south will move into the new facility to make room for their expanding services. Next-door residents at the Carewest George Boyack retirement home will also benefit from the care centre’s amenities and connecting pathways.
3PE has been providing LEED v4 for Healthcare consulting to ensure the new development achieves LEED Silver Certification. The LEED for Healthcare rating system emphasizes indoor air quality, aesthetics and overall livability factors for occupant comfort. The building itself is designed by FWBA Architects who have incorporated resident gardens and natural light to create a safe and healthy living space.
